PROCES-DATA has now launched VIGO 5.7 - the latest version of the Fieldbus Management

System for Windows 2000/XP and Windows Vista, which enables standard and specific Windows applications to be linked to fieldbus variables (process values, status of an input, etc.), using OLE technology.

New in VIGO
• VIGO now supports Windows Vista.

• VIGO 5.7 supports the use of the PD 3950 USB to P-NET Interface. Several USB interfaces can be connected to a single PC, providing direct connection to a number of different P-NET segments.

• VIGO 5.7 supports the use of the PD 664 GPRS Interface.
• An SMS Configuration utility for the PD 664 GPRS Interface is provided.

P-NET Gateway Service
The purpose of the service is to act as a gateway, so that incoming P-NET packages on either UDP, GPRS, or USB, will be routed to the required destination.

Firmware download utility:
A number of I/O modules include a bootloader that provides the option to use a firmware download utility to upgrade firmware in the modules.

New in Visual VIGO
The following components have been added to the Demo Component Box.

ComplexDataGrid
The Complex Data Grid component is used to display the data contained in a single record or from an array of records, in the form of a versatile structured table.
The component also allows the editing of the contents of selected fields within an individual record.

PD 681 Keyboard
This component provides the user with the ability to remotely operate the keyboard of a PD 681 Keyboard/Display Unit, using a virtual keyboard operated by mouse clicks.

PD 681 Screen
This component provides the user with the ability to observe a facsimile of the image shown on the screen of a PD 681 Keyboard/Display Unit.

Finally, as always when new software versions are released, a number of reported errors from previous versions have been corrected.
