More powerful performance in the same installation space
The new NG10 Series 5X directional spool valve from Rexroth offers improved performance data with the same connection dimensions. Compared with previously available directional spool valves, the new valve delivers a demonstrably longer lifespan, thereby lowering the total cost of ownership. Even the standard configuration offers a wide variety of potential uses, and numerous special configurations expand the spectrum. The switching valve now has an output limit that is up to 25 percent higher.
The new design increases flow rate to as much as 150 l/min.
The redesigned cast housing with innovative, patent-pending channel cross section improves pressure resistance by more than 10 percent, with the figure for the standard configuration rising from 315 to 350 bar. At the same time, the new design increases flow rate to as much as 150 l/min. As a result, customers can enjoy the economic benefits of a smaller nominal size with improved performance. A high-pressure five-chamber variant has been approved for up to 420 bar. In extensive testing series, Rexroth has been able to show that the lifespan of the NG10 Series 5X directional spool valve is longer than that of conventional valves currently available on the market.
Its improved vibration resistance, also in connection with position switches, makes the NG10 valve suitable for even tough operating conditions.
Corrosion-resistant versions expand the valve’s universal potential uses to include maritime and offshore applications, especially since the component can withstand temperatures as low as minus 40 °C. Rexroth has now verified the valve’s resistance to various special hydraulic fluids. This fluid compatibility enlarges the valve’s spectrum of applications and contributes to its energy efficiency through the use of energy-saving fluids.
As part of the overhaul, Rexroth engineers also updated all of the valve’s actuation and connection options. A two-way plug-in connector enables fast, low-cost connection of two solenoids with just one cable. The central connection offers more installation space in the connection box and simplifies work with plug-in contacts.
