The compact mechatronic controller CECC is the first mini controller with IO-Link master and CoDeSys V3.
It reduces installation times and simplifies programming, and also enables fast and cost-effective control of sensors and actuators.
The mechatronic controller CECC is the answer to small-scale automation applications with limited I/O. Despite its modest dimensions, its variety of interfaces means it can handle different electric and pneumatic automation tasks. It is an impressive compact solution with features that set the standard among mini controllers, such as an IO-Link master, CoDeSys V3, CANopen master and interface. The mechatronic controller CECC can be easily and reliably integrated into higher-level systems such as PROFINET, Ethernet/IP and Modbus .USBTCP
Fast diagnostics
A major advantage of the CECC is its IO-Link master with four channels. While the traditional sensor/actuator interface only transmits 0 or 1, the new Festo mini controller with IO-Link features an almost unlimited data interface. This enables diagnostics down to the I/O connection point for easier troubleshooting.
The flexible system for transmitting values saves converting the process signal and greatly reduces the complexity of the electronics with its consistent digitalisation. Festo offers ready-to-install valve terminals for the IO-Link interface. Further sensors and actuators will be added to the range for this type of connection in the coming months. Third-party devices that conform to the IO-Link standard (IEC 61131-9) can, of course, also be actuated.
Easy installation
Parameterisation of the I/O point can be done centrally during commissioning, which saves having to go to the installation site. The easy-to-operate configuration tool for IO-Link masters in CoDeSys V3 speeds up commissioning of sensors and actuators and the nominal/actual comparisons ensure operational reliability.
The integrated interface of the CECC is another step towards long-term simplification of data handling. It enables recipes and projects to be loaded and diagnostic and quality data to be recorded, and also enables condition monitoring.USB
CANopen – open for the wide world of automation
The integrated CANopen master of the mechatronic controller CECC, enables actuation of all electric drives and valve terminals from Festo. The fieldbus master can be used as a further open interface for additional functions.
